Hey everybody! Trying something new here. Since I’m no longer recapping my Monthly Challeges, I wanted a way to share my favorite works in progress for those of you don’t spend all your time on Instagram like I do. The goal of this roundup will be to highlight a handful of my favorite in progress shots and talk a little bit about what I learned about my own process over the past season. I chose to make it seasonal because I’ve noticed that my work tends to change with the seasons and tracking that and respecting that seemed like a great way to pull out patterns in my artmaking. We’ll see how it ends up.
So let’s get started! Here’s Spring 2018 and it was honestly a season of hard work by so much bounty. I felt like I found a new voice over these past few months and confidence in my experimentation and growth I was not expecting. This totally makes sense for me since spring is supposed to be this time of emerging and rebirth. It definitely felt like that this year, but it wasn’t always an easy process. I worked longer and harder on my art than ever before. It’s nice to see that work pay off in good art.
